This week in Microbit club we programmed door alarms using 2 microbits. The transmitter was attached to the door and used radio signals to determine how far the microbit was away from a magnet. The receiver was kept in our hands and would show us a tick when the door was closed and make a sound with a cross if the door was open. We all felt that it was an excellent way to keep younger siblings out of our rooms or family members out of our biscuit barrel! The children were very patient with the coding and enjoyed seeing the results of all of their hard work.
